Instructions: Keep your eyes fixed on the small white mark in the center. At first, the ring is stationary and it's easy to tell that the dots are changing. A few seconds later, the ring begins to rotate and the dots suddenly appear to stop changing.
But play the movie again, this time looking directly at one of the dots and following it as the ring rotates. You will see that, in fact, the dots had been changing the whole time, even during the rotation—you just didn't notice it. This failure to detect that moving objects are changing is silencing.

Jean de Dinterville was a French nobleman who came to England as an ambassador in the 1530. He was one of the two people shown in a famous painting by Holbein – he is the figure on the left. This picture is famous partly for the strange object at the bottom of the picture – it is actually an anamorphic image of a skull, but you have to look almost from the edge of the canvas for this to become apparent. The skull can be seen as a reminder that we are mortal, and that life is fleeting.

Were they really motor-men (smoothly propelled along the surface by an unseen force) that our poor old friend suddenly encountered in the streets of London, or were they merely two British workmen employed in digging down into the roadway taking five minutes rest in situ?

Who said 3D Chalk Drawings need to be drawn on pavement!? They can work just the same if you position them vertically. One such fine example is Manfred Stader’s latest work in Trehaus, Germany. It was done for a real estate company celebrating its 25th anniversary. Manfred drew the 3d construction worker, working on a concrete elevator in center of the atrium.
