[FAQ] How to install Java Games on most Sony Ericsson Phones (With Memory Card)

for those who uses USB cable in thier Phone (PC-CP):

your Phone:
1.click transfer file..

in your PC:
1. go to my computer.
2. search for your file/ the hardware examlpe (USB hardwaredrive(G).. and open it..
3. when you open your file...
4. Click the folder "Other"..
5. put all your download games there/ or simple drag or highlight it click the right button of your mouse and click CUT then paste it on the "Other" folder...
6. once you you safely remove the hardware search the "Other" file in File Manager of your phone...
7. open the folder...
8. and WALAH!! the games that you install in pc is there...

i have quiestion.... when i download the game and extract with winrar... the format isnt .jar?.... there's a lot of file .class etc how i install that?

if the extension isnt .jar, rename it as <file name>.jar

If you cannot directly rename the extensions on your computer, open My Computer, click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options

Uncheck the box titled "Hide extensions for known file types"

Click OK. Now you should be able to see the file extensions for all files. Right-click the file name and select Rename. Enter the new extension and press the Enter key.

Copy the game to your phone and play

btw: you can check "Hide extensions fo known file types" in folder options now

I can get the games fine onto the phone, but when I do there is no 'install' on the phone.. instead it prompts me to send? I want to install darnit!!

The extension is incorrect. It MUST be .jar to install the game.
