You might have found it easier to use stasis & then hack them to bits using the buzz saw...

You fire the blade & it spins for a period of time, you can kill most monsters with 2 shots (without upgrades)

I've used 4 on my suit (on a level 2 suit now, just need funds for level 3)
2 on weapons upgrades & 2 more for locked rooms... so in total 8

I'm on my 3rd suit. I've used 6 on my rig, 6 on my plasma cutter, 2 on locked rooms.

I use the Plasma cutter most of the time. When you upgrade it it becomes quite powerful. The flamethrower is useless (ammo wise) so I use the Pulse Rifle and the Line Gun.


The Line Guns' secondary shot is awesome.
