    Exclamation F.A.Q. - SDCARD data

Considering that the Google Nexus 7 does not sport an external memory SD-card slot the "sdcard" folder is emulated on the ROOT of the internal memory.

    SDCARD data folder paths:
    -(ROOT of internal memory)/sdcard/
    -(ROOT of internal memory)/sdcard/Android/
    -(ROOT of internal memory)/sdcard/Android/data/
    -(ROOT of internal memory)/sdcard/Android/obb/

Android File Manager v2.5.5 , which is Free but Ad-supported , has been used to determine the given folder paths.

    Exclamation F.A.Q. - Screen size

The Nexus 7's full screen size including the on screen soft keys area is 1280x800 pixel.

Some rare applications do not handle the area reserved for the on screen keys properly and as such need to be manually set up to match the device's screen size.
In that case , excluding the space needed for the on screen soft keys , the Nexus 7's screen size should be set to:
    - PORTRAIT: 1205x800 pixel
    - LANDSCAPE: 736x1280 pixel

    Note:
Screen size deviation determined with CPU Logger by ECNApps

    Hi,
    Nexus 7 has many pros:
    - Quadcore processor
    - 1280*800 HD Display
    - OS upgradable to 4.2 from the current 4.1
Your choice is Nexus 7 because
    1. Miles cheaper
    2. Better screen
    3. Anything about apps not being specifically for tablets doesn't really matter with seven inches.
    4. Better processor means quicker at everything gorgeous speed it provides.
    5. More portable and less awkward to hold in one hand.
    6. Nexus 7 is More customization
    7. Micro usb charger (that is so cheap to buy and you might have chargers from phones that you can also use) instead of lighting connector that is harder to find and more expensive.
    9. Easier and cheaper to read files from usb using adapter. Not sure is ipad mini can even read usbs using an adapter. P.S nexus cannot read hard drive like almost all tablets.

    Exclamation Android 4.3 Update

Google released another Android system update for the Nexus 7 , Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
I received mine late night at the 29.7. @ an approximate size of ~160MB.
The update went smooth and took about 7 minutes from restart to new start up.
So far I haven't noticed any negative aftereffects caused by the update.

    Android 4.3.JPG

The 4.3 update is supposed to fix some user reported issues like device slowdowns , low battery life and slow battery charging , and is therefore recommended to be installed.

For change log details You can visit Android.com , Developer-Android.com , refer to Wikipedia , or simply Google for info Yourself

Exclamation Android 4.4 KitKat System Update

    Android 4.4 KitKat

Android 4.4 KitKat arrived about an hour ago to my Nexus 7 (Gen.1).

The update is 185.3 MB in size and it took about 9 minutes to install from restart to new start up.

The update process passed without apparent issues and first impressions are very good.

So far I noticed snappier menu scrolling/swiping (see MP4 clip) and reduced occupied system memory (see 3. attached picture).

KitKat is supposed to sport some fancy new features , including screen recording - as such it should be interesting to explore the newly added (cap)abilities of the Nexus 7.

As for the looks , some menu icons have changed , other than that 4.4 looks pretty much the same as 4.3 did and I like it!
