Can Surface Windows RT play YouTube videos?

I have downloaded many YouTube videos, but Surface Windows RT don't play them, shows "Can't play" error. What’s the matter?

I'm guessing the videos are in flash video format (flv)? If so, then Windows RT doesn't currently support playback of this format.

You would need to convert those videos into a supported format like MP4, for them to work. I recommend using Log in to see links.

Just one thing, you'd need to convert them on a proper PC, as the Surface RT can't install PC apps.
