PowerMP3 is a revolutionary audio/music player for your S60v3 mobile phone. It is designed using pluggable architecture for the possibility of extending the player with new audio file formats as well as new skins when the need arises. The current version of PowerMP3 supports MP3, OGG, AAC and M4A formats.

Music Library

PowerMP3 has Music Library for best media files management and where it stores all supported music files found on your phone. PowerMP3 searches through your phone and puts music files into the Music Library. The files are categorized by Artist, Album, Genre according to ID3 tags and also can be rated and moods can be assigned. The files also can be sorted different ways and joined into playlists.

Ratings and Moods

Select Assign->Mood menu to assign moods. Moods dialog will appear to select a mood from the list of pre-defined moods. Select Assign->Rating menu to rate the item. Rating dialog will appear to select rating. Once rated, songs can then be filtered and sorted by rating or mood. You can also change rating by tapping on rating control on the screen.

Equalizer

PowerMP3 uses system equalizer that has several pre-defined settings. The equalizer dialog can be called either by tapping on screen icon or from the menu.

Album Images

PowerMP3 supports album images that mean that you can store cover for any album and PowerMP3 will show it on the skin. PowerMP3 is able to get album image either from ID3 tags or from album folder. Also you can download album images from the Internet.

Status bar icon

When the PowerMP3 is in background, the icon on the system status bar appears. It has two states: normal icon and when Sleep timer is enabled. When you tap on the icon the dialog showing current playing song and the current playback status appears. You can switch to the PowerMP3 by Player button.

Using handsfree

PowerMP3 supports handsfree control. If you have either wired or wireless handsfree with playback control buttons then you can use it for PowerMP3 playback control. If you have a simple handsfree with only one button for call answering it’s also supported. Press handsfree answer button to either play/pause or switch to the next song in the playqueue. You can set up the action in the PowerMP3 settings.

Skins

PowerMP3 is skinnable that allows you to choose look and feel of PowerMP3 as you wish. There are number of skins supplied with PowerMP3.
