Just Monitor the permissions required by the apps that you installed and that's it.

Android is the Linux based, no need for antivirus, and more applications are completely isolated from each other.

Don't know if there has been an infection, but as with any Linux OS, even though you may not be at risk it is easy to pass infection to all your contacts who may be at risk.
