Every time i connect to internet,avast anti-virus automatically updates itself..

Why dont You Use Nod32 It's Safe and doesnt take much ram and cpu

Avast is free and does the job, never had any problems with it.

and nod also is free,not that free,you can always find a serial easily for that!
