Transfering VBA Save Game to MeBoy and Vice Versa it !

Introducing
This tutorial is useful for MeBoy players that want to using GameShark on their save game. So they can easily playing trough the game. But remember ! The cheat is only for Permanent Cheat ( items, money, exp, level, etc ) not for non-permanent Cheat ! ( Walk Trough Wall, Infiniting Something, or something that not permanent cheat ! ). Or U want to continue ur saved game on VBA to play it on Ur Phone cheated or not cheated. Happy Learning !

Requirements
~ Visual Boy Advanced ( or other emulator, but it’s very recommended )
~ Ur Game ROM file
~ MeBoy with Game on your phone ( 2.2 v Recommended )
~ MeBoy Builder ( 2.2 v Recommended )
~ Original Save Game from MeBoy ( Ur save game getted from the steps )
~ Original Save Game from VBA Emu that cheated or not cheated ( Ur save game same as the Meboy Save game and the File Size is 33Kb and typed as *.sav file )
Note : - U can leave the last Requirement if U want to cheated the MeBoy saved games
- Create a folder called MeBoy Experiment so Ur not stressed for full folder

Let’s Start !

1. Transfer Ur save game trough the Bluetooh Menu

2. After it’s like this

U can send Ur saved game

3. Save it on a new folder called MeBoy Saved Game

The file size of the MeBoy saved games is 32Kb

And The File size of Original VBA save game is 33Kb


4. Now open the MeBoy save game and VBA save game using Hex Editor. I am using HxD Hex Editor. But remember to change the MeBoy save game name to “ MeBoy Pokemon Gold.sav ” or whatever, so there’s no conflict on both file name.



5. Inspect the end line of Ur MeBoy Save Game !



The end line of Pokemon Gold save game is on the 00007FF0 offset. But the Pokemon Gold Original VBA save game it is has three new Offset.



The end line is on 00008020 Offset

6. Delete the three Offset



So it’s like Ur Pokemon MeBoy save game’s end line now



Then save it !

This original save game size is changed to 32Kb size or maybe not



On my Pokemon Gold save game, the size is changed to 32Kb. Now all done !

7. Now the only thing to do is transfer the Modified VBA save game



Trough the Bluetooth menu, select Ur Bluetooth device and click Send savegame likes the picture.

Now All Done ! U may test the save game file, it’s work perfectly on my Phone !

Playing MeBoy save game on VBA Emulator
It’s so Easy ! Just rename and replace on the original VBA save game with MeBoy save game !

Other Notes
I only tested this tutorial only on Pokemon Gold game. Try to experiment on other gameboy game then post the working game’s save game on my Thread
