Britain could face widespread power blackouts and be left without critical communication signals for long periods of time, after the earth is hit by a once-in-a-generation “space storm”, Nasa has warned.

Unless your internet is powered by a solar panel, wind turbine or a bicycle with a DC permanent magnet generator and a DC to AC inverter or the static electricity produced when your socks rub against the carpet, then I would think so.
