How to increase the speed of u r start menu?
The default speed of the Start Menu is pretty slow, but it can be fixed by editing a Registry Key. Open up the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ MenuShowDelay
By default, the value is 400. It can be given a smaller value, such as 0, to speed up.Last edited by Vishay; 28-08-2010 at 03:16 PM.

The Best Notepad Tricks for Windows
Amazing Notepad Tricks for Windows.
If you press F5 in notepad, it will insert current date and time in the file. I think most of us know about this notepad trick. It is also mentioned in the Edit menu of the notepad.
Notepad isn't really that bad. It is a age old app, but it's still popular because of its simplicity.
Now I am going to show some fun notepad tricks. Enjoy these cool tricks.
1. Bush Hid the Facts – Most Popular Notepad Trick
# Open notepad.
# Type BUSH HID THE FACTS
# Save that file.
# Close Notepad
# Open the file again (with notepad like before)
# Can you read it back?
2. World Trade Centre Attack Trick – Shocking Notepad Trick
* Open your Notepad
* Type the flight number i.e Q33N in Capital Letters.
* Increase the Font Size to 72
* Change the Font to Wingdings
3. How to get fake error message like below
* Open Notepad
* Type in: msg * Error: Your system is affected by virus
* Save as "virus.bat"
* Now open that .bat file, now you got error message window
* Its not virus, just your assumption message.
4. Test your antivirus software is active or non active
To test your antivirus in full safety, you can use the file of Eicar test. This file is detected as a virus by the antiviruses but it is not one, it does not contain any viral code. If the false virus is detected, it is that your antivirus is active and protects you.
* Open Notepad
* Then recopy the following character string in the Notepad:
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
* Now save it and scan it by ur antivirus software..
* If your antivirus is correctly activated, it must then alert you instantaneously presence of the Eicar virus.
* Then ask your antivirus to remove the file. If your antivirus does not see anything, than you have a problem. It could be because of two reasons: permanent protection is badly configured or there were some problems during antivirus installation. Then you have to read documentation of your software to correct this problem.
If the false virus is still not detected, you must then seriously think of changing anti-virus software.
5. Find Windows XP CD Key inside CD
Ever thought that the CD-Key of the Windows XP disc you were looking for was just Right Under you Nose. Lets see how easily you can get it…
To get the Windows XP CD key, you have to do the following steps.
1. Bring your Windows XP CD and insert it into your computer's CD/DVD ROM/ RAM.
2. Now, browse your Windows XP CD and find the folder I386.
3. Inside I386 folder, find the file named as unattended.txt.
4. Open unattended.txt by using notepad.
5. At last, keep scrolling of the opened file and you will get Windows XP CD key.
6. Log trick
This is simple, open notepad and type .LOG
Save it as .LOG.txt
Whenever you open the file with that text in the first line in the notepad, it will insert the current date and time at the end of the file. You can start entering your text after that.

Instead of making Windows "fly" , Microsoft keeps adding unnecessary crap clogging it up.
Luckily some things can be tweaked , disabled or removed (WinXP) resulting in much better response of Windows (without stability issues!).

Make friends scare of VIRUS
Open notepad and type this:
lol=msgbox ("Warning a virus has been detected on your PC. Press YES to format your hard disk now or press NO to format your hard disk after system reboot",20,"Warning")
Then save it as Virus.VBS
and go to the folder that contains it and open it if a window pops out saying a virus has been detected it's working. Press yes or no to close the window and put it in the startup folder of the victim's account.On startup the window should appear.
Note: This does not harm your computer as it does not contain virus.
