Don't know exactly what caused it...
I've heard some of it might have been arson and some of it downed power lines.
We also haven't had much rain the last 2-3 years so, any little thing and .......

there r some reports that say some r deliberately started. btw, there's a song named "California's Burning" by Augustana. wonder how they predicted it.
