Sanyo Incognito is givin me issues...

so I downloaded the ringtone to my laptop
dragged and dropped to my phone
but I can't set it as a ringtone, I can only listen to it on my music...
I am so totally lost and would really appreciate help asap!!!!!

Mmm... Can you normally set MP3's as ringtones?

I'm not sure, this phone is still pretty new to me

If you have the Incognito thru Boost Mobile, you will have to turn the MP3 into a 3g2 or 3gp video to use it for a ring tone.

Also, it should be under 400kb and 176x144, or it won't let you use it.

I've been using Movie Maker to use a still image for the "video", and to add the portion of the song I want to use to the final clip.

I then publish the video in high quality 320x240 to the computer, and then convert it to a 176x144 3gp with Super©.

If the ring tone isn't loud enough, I redo it, but I run the audio portion thru Audacity first, increasing the gain by up to +20. then I go thru the whole process with Movie Maker and Super© again.
