Hi Man,
virus can affect only pda's and those which have symbian os installed in them.
Sony ericsson phones do not support symbian applications and hence u need not worry about viruses.
j[B]ust make sure to switch off ur Bluetooth and IR in public places so that u dont lose data sored in phone
