What is AVI?
AVI stands for Audio Video Interleaved. A computer graphics animation format used in Microsoft Video for Windows. This format interleaves digitized video frames and synchronized audio in one file. The clips generated in the AVI format may be played back in a Windows equipped PC, usually independent of screen resolution and color palette.
What is MP4
An ISO/IEC standard 14496 developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG).MP4 is a new container format, a container format allows you to combine different multimedia streams into one single file. MP4 is streamable and supports all kinds of multimedia content.
How to convert avi to mp4?
1, add files.
Click “add”button, select the target aiv files in the dialog box that opens, and add them to the file list. xlink softv Video converter supports batch conversion. Or you can simply drive them to the interface. By the way you can also delete files by clicking “delete” button

2, Set output format: Select mp4 format.

3, Set output path: The output path is the place where you have your converted video located. Click “Browse” and set an available path
4, click “start”: then, the avi format is converted to mp4 format.

How to edit the target video?
The video can also be edited,i.e, set the timing, the screen size, padding and volume of it.
1, click “Edit”:
2, Set the timing: click “trim”, drive the scroll bar to the starting point (which can be previewed in the previewed window), click “<< “to set the starting time. And drive the scroll bar to the ending point, click “>>” to set the ending time.

Set the screen size: Click the “crop” button, set the screen size: the top, bottom, left, right, as you like it.
Set the padding: you can choose the way to pad the unselected area.
Set the volume: you can set the output volume as you like it.
3, If you have special demand on the output video parameter，click “setting” to set them.
