You haven't installed the USB Flash drivers.
Turn off the phone, remove the battery and take out the SIM and memory card. Reinsert the battery - don't turn on the phone
Hold the C (clear) key pressed down and connect the USB cable to the phone (keep the C key pressed)
Windows will detect a new device - choose to install the drivers manually and point the folder to search in the the USB drivers I've attached with this post.

If the phone starts up - remove and reinsert the battery and try again.
The same thing used to happen to me too - but you'll learn how to do this in a few tries

Your instructions seem so simple that even I can do this.
I do have a question or two before I begin;
1) Do I need to have a file manager on the phone because my SE W760a does not have an separate file manager?
2) I have been reading about some ++XS program. Do I need to install and run this program to access the phone via USB cable?
Thanks is advance for the help.

I think I am out of luck. I was able to connect to my phone using XS++ but when I go to flach the phone its not in the dropped down list. When I try to use FSX I get the message: "Sorry your phone is not supported".Last edited by mgmm1; 20-04-2009 at 06:03 AM. Reason: add info
