    Default Movie News

So, i was asked to make a thread with news spanning the movie world, ive been told i am quite good with movies and having spending most of my life in movie enviroments and spending hours a day looking up movie news i decided to make this thread, hope it goes well.

I will update it when i can and if u have any movie related quetions u wanna ask, feel free to post em here and if u want any movie themes or wallpapers and such (i only do sony ericsson) feel free to ask also.

So whats new....well Toby Maguire and Kirsten dunst have both signed up for Spiderman 4 and it looks like wedding bells for peter parker and MJ, but how smoothly will it go? Oh and apparently in may be in 3D.

Evil Dead 4 may be back on (not till Sam Raimi has finished with the next spiderman movies tho), he said in an interview recently "Evil Dead 4 will push Bruce Campbell to the limit this time due to all the action sequences in it) so watch this space for more Evil Dead 4 news.

Stallone's new movie looks good, its called 'The Expendables', this will be the 62 year olds 8th fim as a director and his 20th screenplay to date, it also stars Jason Stratham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke and a cameo by Arnold Swarzenegger......looks good too, expect this to be released april time in 2010, well worth checking out.

Twilight: Eclipse is set for a june 2010 release and this time will be directed by brit director David Slade (director of Hard Candy) and is said to be a lot darker than the first 2.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice (u know the one, from the disney movie Fantasia starring mickey mouse) is having a live action makeover, directed by Jon Turteltaub (national Treasure) starring Jay Baruchel as the apprentice. set for an august 2010 release.

What happens when Tom Cruise drops out of a movie, who do u get to replace him? Will Smith? Brad Pitt? well in the movie entitled 'Salt' he was replaced by Angelina Jolie with a quick sex change in the screenplay of the upcoming CIA officer accused of being a russian sleeper spy movie directed by Phillip Noyce, looks a good movie and should be released around august 2010.

2011 looks set to be the year of the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Johnny Depp returns, but sadly Keira Knightly doesnt....do we ned a number 4 in the series???????????

So another remake.....once again Robin Hood is bein made for the big screen, This time Ridley Scott is directing and Brian Grazer is producing the next reincarnation of the nancy in tights (or rather not in tights as robin hood doesnt wear em in this version, but to be honest, in the year of robin hood tights weren't actually invented....), Russell Crowe is mr Hood, or Robin to his friends and Cate Blanchett is Maid Marian...yet another remake we could certainly do without.

Another pointless remake out on the 12th June is Last House on the Left, Wes Cravens original was a brilliant movie, so why remake it? Altho Wes Craven is producing it, so maybe its not that bad?

Michael Bay says he is making transformers 3, he is taking a year off first and then will be back to get the movie started, lets hope in that years break he doesnt produce any more horror remakes.

Ok...here is something i found interesting, remember the days of video nasties, if something was deemed too sick or too pornographic to be seen by the public the BBFC banned the vhs releases, well that still goes on today, only for different reasons and not by the BBFC, i looked into recently banned movies and found several countries banning movies for different reasons, this is a list of movies and the countries they are banned in.

    1. Showgirls banned in Morocco due to the nudity.

    2. Pirates of the Caribbean:at worlds End banned in China as apparently it insults the chinese. (wish they had banned it here in the UK just for bein a bag of sh**).

    3. Pineapple Express banned in Malaysia due to its use of yoga (yup its the truth).

    4. King Kong (1933) banned in Finland due to violent scenes, but after saying that, on its release in the USA the black and white movie had cuts made to it due to the violence, and so the original movie wasnt released in its entirity.

    5. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom banned in India due the the monkey brains eating scene.

    6. The King and I banned in Thailand because they said ' the king of siam is a divine being, not a flawed human prone to impromptu burst of song', also they don't like the words 'king' and 'I'.

    7. Zoolander banned in Iran as it provoked gay rights.

    8. Borat banned in Russia which incidently was the first non pornagraphic movie to banned since the fall of the Soviat Union, but it was banned for religious reasons.

    9. Nosferatu (1921) banned in sweden for an astonishing 50 years due to its high impact scary violence and cruelty, Sweden have recently released their own vampire film called 'Let The Right One In' which actually looks like a good movie, one to check out.(on a personal note, the original 1921 Nosferatu is my all time fave vampire flick, just thought i would mention that).

    10. The Da Vinci Code banned in Vatican City....obvious reasons.

    11. South Park:Bigger Longer and uncut banned in Iraq, well not quitw true, wasnt exactly banned, Trey Parker and Matt Stone didnt want it released in Iraq as they new it would get banned, anyone who has seen the movie may understand why.

    12. Monty Pythons Life of Brian banned in Norway for religious reasons.

    13. The Simpsons Movie banned in Burma for many reasons, too many to mention here.

    14. The Matrix Reloaded banned in Egypt because they said 'it may cause trouble and harm public peace'.

    15. 9 Songs banned in South Australia due to it being pornographic (good movie tho, i own it) They also banned Cannibal Holacaust (lets face it, which country didnt ban that movie, real animal torture and oral sex).

    16. Bruno is expected to banned in Iran, China, Burma, Israel and Austria...personally i am looking forward to seeing Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie, everything he does is hilarious.

Thats my list, i did miss some off as i didnt think most would know the movies and i didnt wanna bore you too much (too late i hear u say). hope u found that as interesting as i did or maybe i am just sad (dont all agree at once).
