Tutorial:
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to create a tutorial of how I made my signature incase that someone wanted to know
(especially micro1000)
Step 1:
The first thing I did was to get a background for my signature so I used this:
(It doesnt matter whether you desaturate it or not because its already B and W)
After importing it in photoshop I desaturated it. You can desaturate it either by following
Image>adjustments>desaturate
or by pressing
Shift+Ctrl+U
Step 2:
Then I leveled it like this, U can use my readings or experiment with it yourself
Image00017.jpg
this can be done by simply pressing:
Shift+L
Step 3:
Then you have to play with the Hue and Saturation which can be opened by pressing:
Ctrl+U
You can also use my readings:
Image00018.jpg
Then you have to merge the two layers by selecting both layers (hue saturation and background)
, right clicking and then clicking merge
Step 4:
Now you have to write your name, but for that you have to choose a good looking font
or make your own font
for my signature I used a font named:
Bloody Cow
Write your name and then right click the text layer and then click rasterize type
Then you have to right click it again and click blending options
After that select the inner shadow and do these things:
Image00020.jpg
(you can also experiment with other options)
Step 5:
Now you have to add a new layer between text and background layer
to do this create a new layer and drag it inbetween text and background layer
For new layer do this:
Shift+Ctrl+N
After that select the new layer and add cloud filter to it, to do it do this:
Filter>Render>Clouds
But before this make sure that the color selected is black
Step 6:
then you have to click on the top of the layers windows where Normal is selected and change
it to Color Dodge or Overlay
Image00021.jpg
(I used overlay)
After this merge all the layers and add Light Filter to it, you can do it by doing this:
Filter>Render>Light Filter
Select the direction of light that suits you and click ok
After this increase the contrast and crop the image and then you'll have your signature!
Best of Luck
