Can you access registry?(run>regedit)
Try Safe mode!(if you keep restart computer,windows will ask what happen and give safe mode choice)

and before you backup your data,make sure you have another portable av or something like that at your removable media

and then back up your data in safe mode,if your PC keep hanging i suggest to try some another AV

I suggest you to download(dont download at the infecetion pc) portable another av and place it at USB,and then scan with it

If you looking for portable av:

Log in to see links

and after you download,rename the folder,dont use AV/antivirus,or something like that words

Can you clean the virus with your av?
if not i think your av getting infected too
and you may try another,and clean the system 32

Have you got the system recovery disk that came with your pc?
