New Nokia E7 FANATIC
Yes I recently purchased a Nokia E7 and I have been having a blast tweaking it however limited that might be for a 73 years young non-techie!
I learned of this forum by finding a thread where other Symbian developers offered over 1600 apps!
I have installed Opera Mini and it is running very smoothly! So is my UNSECURE Gmail which I dearly would like to find a SECURE ENCRYPTED email service that will work on the E7. My Protonmail will not.
I am aware of the USA requirement of all cellphones being G4 and G5; however if anyone knows how to get around this BS please let me know! I am a former Post Newsweek/CBS News consumer reporter. Now I own an online and offline security business.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm afraid a solution will be doubtful because most SECURE web services such as Protonmail require the TLS 1.2 protocol. Protonmail, among others, have dropped support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 as it no longer secure.
The Nokia E7 is a decade old phone running an obsolete OS that does not support TLS 1.2 - many online services will not work on this phone. If you're security conscious, then my advice would be to buy an Android smartphone that supports the installation of a secure operating system such as microG Project, GrapheneOS, or CopperheadOS.
