What's your carrier? If it's Sprint, you can use the uploader at Rumkin dot com. But it'll only do touchscreen games. The others give an error and close.
Okay. You will need a couple of things. A Micro SD card and the cable that goes from the computer to the phone.
1. Insert sd card into phone.
2. format card (the phone should want to do this, let it)
3. connect phone to computer using cable.
4. use windows explorer (or whatever) to surf over to see all your drives. You should see a new drive. This is your phone.
5. open your phone drive. There should be a few file folders already there.
6. make a new file folder labeled APPS.
7. transfer your .jar AND .jad files from your computer to your phone folder you just made.
8. disconnect phone from computer. Be nice to the phone and do what the phone wants to disconnect.
9. on the phone, go to the main menu and surf around until you see MEDIA CARD.
10. click on MEDIA CARD.
11. Viola, all the games you copied from the computer to the phone are now ready to install.
I figure you can take it from here. I can't tell you exactly how to find MEDIA CARD on your phone because I don't personally have your model buy a friend does and I was installing games on her phone today.
Hope this helps.:)
So after much trial and error, and wasted time talking to samsung reps. I figured out how to install gameson samsung seek. There seems to be a lack of information regarding this. here is my guide
1. put the micro sd card in the phone, the phoen will automaticaly format it.
2. either connect the phone via usb, bluetooth, or take the sd card out and put it in a usb adapter to put files onto it.
3. after you have done this, download your game. final fantasy seems to be the best working game I have found for the samsung seek. I suggest going to umnet.
4. download Jad maker. just google it, it should be the first link. drag the jar file onto the jad maker, and it will automatically create a jad file.
5. on your micro sd, create a folder called "Apps" make sure "A" is capital. copy all the files over to the phone.
6. insert card back in phone and go into the "fun" section of the screen and click on "my stuff" scroll to the bottom and you will see the "Apps" folder you created, push it and click on the files to install. The installer will install the games into the "Applications" folder of the "my stuff " folder.
7. click on the game and have some fun!
there you go. That is how you do it. after many many tries and much searching this is what i discovered on my own!
I have a Samsung Entro (which is an M-350 like the seek) and I could not get it to show me anything in the APPLICATIONS section of my phone. I think I followed it step by step...
Make sure that the apps folder is in all caps like this "APPS". I don't have the seek but i have another sprint phone and this worked on mine. Hope this helps.
Thanks but still a no go. I tried capitol A... capitol APPS and all small. Nothing. :( Maybe something to do with it being Canadian? :)
make sure there is both a .jar and a .jad file. You need both to make them work. When the "Apps" folder appears under "My Stuff" just go to that folder called "Apps" it should be on thebottom of the list. Click the file, and install. If it does not work then your phone is probably different then the seek. This worked for me though. I hope it works for you!
Blah still a no go.
I looked into it online. the Seek and the Entro are the same phone. Except in Canada you don't find the Seek and in the U.S. you don't see the Entro. but according to Samsung customer service (Which I recommend NOONE calls... useless...) they are both the same phone though it may be different software running it. (I don't have a MY STUFF or APPS option in my menu... I have MY DOWNLOADS and APPLICATIONS.)
I have just decided to give up. Not usually my course of action on something like this but I hate wasting time trying to figure out why something like this isn't working... Samsung should be embarrassed of their customer service dept. These guys don't even know what a JAR and JAD file are.. they don't know the resolution of the phone... they have a hard time with english... and they really don't know how anyone would install software from the memory card... Shameful really.
aww man that sucks. I'm sorry :( the samsung seek is just an overall crappy phone. I find that the est customer support is the community. People who give to the community and receive from the community. It was becuase of searching the community I got the idea of how to instlal games on mine. Companies like samsung, apple, microsoft, sony, and every other one are going to go away eventually. They will be replaced by "the community"
To install a java file on a Samsung phone you need both jar and jad :D Hope it helps if not pm me!
Its not as hard as it seems...
Requirements:
1. Usb cable
2Micro SD card ( preferably 2-8 GB)
Process:
1. Plug the phone into the computer.
2.Open the folder that says removable disk.
3.Create a new foler called Apps (MAKE SURE THE A IS CAPITAL)
4.Download games, apps etc from this website at
5.Go to games or apps located at the center left screen after scrolling down a bit.
6.Find a game/app you want and click on it
7.Download the file.
8.Place the downloaded file in the Apps folder.
9.Now you have to download a tool called JAD Wizard at
10. Make a new foler in your phone called JAD Wizard.
11.Move the game/app from your apps folder to this folder
12.Now simply click and drag the game/app file and drop it on the JAD Wizard icon.
13.Now a new file should show up that has the game/apps name, but is a JAD file.
Now move both the JAR and JAD file to the apps foler(MAKE SURE BOTH ARE THERE)
14.Disconnect your phone from the computer.
15.Got to my stuff in the fun tab.
16.Scrool down until you see the folder you made called Apps then touch it.
17.There should be a file in there, click it to install it.
18.Now go to the Applications folder in My Stuff and there is your game/app.
I hope i dint make it too complicated. But this is foolproff trust me.
( for JAD maker, just google it... hard to miss it)
