How did his car keep going?
He didn't half thrash it about a bit.
He did indeed.
Makes him lucky though, not good
Yeah, he was pretty poor...
Apparently there are rumors that Kubica might be moving to Ferrari.
Think we sparked them?
Maybe. :surrender:
If true... Ferrari will be unstoppable, providing they produce a good car.
Indeed.
It's going to be like the 2003 season
Well as long as Red Bull put out a good enough car, I'll be happy.
As if McLaren has never used team orders.
I spit on you Jenson Button!
Jenson Button is concerned that this season's world championship will be tainted if Fernando Alonso wins by less than seven points.
Alonso currently leads the championship by eight points, seven of which were gifted to him by team-mate Felipe Massa when he let Alonso into the lead at the German Grand Prix. Ferrari was fined $100,000 by the stewards after the race for breaching the ban on team orders, but the FIA decided to take no further action during a hearing in September.
If Alonso finishes second at this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix he guarantees his third world title, but Button reckons he needs to do it by seven clear points to avoid a public outcry.
It's all down to qualifying then.
I do hope it's a good race.
I didn't realize he only needs to finish second.
That's awesome.
I can see Vettel having a big, big part in this.
Cant stand Germans, cant stand Vettel..
Vettel: Alonso can go up in smoke
Who on earth wishes that on anyone.Quote:
"I don't wish anything bad for him (Alonso) but I wouldn't be sad to see some Ferrari smoke.
"We're still fighting for the Drivers' Championship but obviously we want to get rid of this guy."
That's sad.
I liked Vettel, but that is a stupid thing to say.
Spoken like a true German.

Sebastian Vettel has put the possibility of using team strategy at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to the back of his mind.
If - as he did in Brazil last weekend - the German wins on Sunday ahead of his team-mate Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso will only need to finish fourth to be crowned world champion. With team orders illegal and ruled out by his employer Dietrich Mateschitz, whether Vettel will voluntarily move over to help Webber win the title is the topic of wide speculation in the media.
ABU DHABI, Nov 10 - The Formula One drivers' championship will be decided on Sunday with four still mathematically in the hunt.
*The following details how each driver could win:
NOTE: Points awarded 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1
Fernando Alonso (Spain), Ferrari: 246 points
If he wins or finishes second, the title is his.
Third or fourth place will be enough if Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel wins the race.
Fifth place secures the title on race wins if neither Red Bull is first.
Sixth is sufficient providing Red Bull's Mark Webber is no higher than third and Vettel does not win.
Seventh or eighth makes him champion if Webber is not on the podium and Vettel does not win.
Ninth does the trick on race wins if Webber is no higher than fifth and Vettel is out of the top two.
Tenth is good if Webber is out of the top five and Vettel out of the top two.
Alonso will also be champion without scoring another point if Webber finishes out of the top five, Vettel is no higher than third and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton does not win.
Mark Webber (Australia), Red Bull: 238 points
Webber is champion if he wins and Alonso is not second.
Second wins the title, providing Vettel does not win and Alonso is no higher than sixth.
Third is sufficient if Alonso is out of the top six and Vettel does not win.
Fourth will do if Alonso is no higher than ninth and Vettel does not win.
Fifth takes the title if Alonso is 10th or lower and Vettel is out of the top two.
Sebastian Vettel (Germany), Red Bull: 231 points
Vettel is champion if he wins Sunday's race and Alonso finishes fifth or lower.
Should Vettel win, with Webber second and Alonso fifth then all three will end up with 256 points. However Vettel would beat Webber 5-4 on race wins and Alonso on a countback to fourth places (They both have two seconds and three thirds while Vettel has three fourths to the Spaniard's two).
Second place is enough for Vettel providing Webber is no higher than fifth and Alonso out of the top eight.
Lewis Hamilton (Britain), McLaren: 222 points
Hamilton must win to be champion. Even then, he needs Alonso to finish out of the points, Webber no higher than sixth and Vettel third or lower.
This is a request for the whole of M24 to hold thumbs for Alonso!!
Pretty please??
Formula 1 drivers are well-versed in the use of extreme measures in the pursuit of speed but Fernando Alonso, the 2010 championship leader, has taken things a stride further by having his legs waxed. "I'm surprised how he was able to take the pain," said Hamilton. "Mark [Webber] pointed it out and was asking: 'How far has it gone up?' I was like: 'Wow, they are shiny.'"
Also...
The word from the Spanish journalists is that the Ferrari simulator says the Red Bull will be 0.4 seconds quicker a lap at Abu Dhabi than the Ferrari. Might account for Alonso's tetchy mood and picked cuticles?!
0.4???
Holy crap.
He must qualify 1st then.
55 laps.
0.4 secs.
About 20 seconds.
Yeah he's going to have to work tomorrow.
They've started free practice...
:wow::wow:
I do love the BBC sometimes...
F1 red button service.
I have to watch the times on Formula 1.com :(
Check out this video

I wanna go.
If that practise session was the race...
Vettel would have been Champion.
Indeed
Problem is the Porker has nothing to lose.
So both McLarens are probably turned up all the way, because a blow-up is not really a worry for them.
If they stuff about in the middle, then it's either Webber or Vettels
Thing with Alonso is, he's using the same engine he used at Monza...
Which is the most demanding track for engines, and Abu Dhabi isn't much better.
It probably is the best one they have...
Everyone fighting for the title is using an engine for the third time, just Alonso's is in the worst condition.
Where do you get all this info?
BBC 5 Live.
They have a thing with Red Bull.
Alonso to use a different rear wing with lower downforce.
Its what Twitter is useful for.

#F1 - Drivers coming out early for Practice 2. Alonso just goes fastest on a 1:42:474. 8 tenths quicker so far
He's currently just under two tenths quicker than Hamilton.
still waiting for the Red Bulls
What happened to useless?
Things are going to be interesting tomorrow.
Thankfully Webber had a bad qualifying.
Alonso couldnt pass Petrov :(
But Vettel deserved the championship
Well done Ferrari , cost Alonso the drivers title.
