I know that's what Ferrari and Red Bull are doing....
.... but you're right.
It's pointless.

Indeed.
So does McLaren I suppose.
Hamilton still has an off chance.
Sadly.......
Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner has said the team will not put its full weight behind Mark Webber's title bid despite his superior position in the drivers' standings to team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
Webber lies second in the drivers' standings, just 11 points behind Fernando Alonso with Vettel a further 14 points behind him. But Horner says that he will not force Vettel to play a supporting role with only two races remaining.
"We have two fantastic drivers and we will continue to support both equally in line with Red Bull's credible sporting ethos," Horner told Red Bull's official website.
"As we saw in Korea it is impossible to predict what will happen with five drivers being so closely in contention. For example, with 10 laps to go Sebastian had moved into the lead of the championship, with Alonso then moving into the lead following our bad luck.
That's good news...
Make him earn it, don't hand it to him on a plate.
Finland's Kimi Raikkonen is no longer looking at Formula 1 race options for next season as the World Rally Championship is where he wants to stay in 2011.
:(:(:(
What's the point?
He belongs in an F1 car
It is a bit of a strange decision.
But I don't see where he'd fit back in, unless Massa left Ferrari or Webber retires at Red Bull.
And we both know he wouldn't race for any of the lesser teams.
Indeed.
If not Ferrari he won't race.
I pray he doesn't go back to McLaren
Do you think Hamilton would allow that?
Probably not. He knows he's no match for Kimi
Looks like he's going to have to wait for Massa to go then...
Saying that, I wouldn't look forward to a Kimi/Alonso team. :surrender:
Exactly.......
The addition of Bulgaria to the Formula 1 calendar could mean the end of the sport's Hungarian and Turkish rounds. That is the claim of organiser and Bulgarian motor racing official Bogdan Nikolov, who said this week that a contract for a debut race in 2012 could be signed as soon as next month.
For next season yes... But what about the one after that?
Massa won't always be happy being the number 2 driver.
Massa is useless.
Ooooeee my tires don't work that's why I'm always last.
Boohooo.
Fire him
In all fairness... He's not as bad as Luca Badoer.
No he really is
Sebastien Bourdais?
He's about as bad as Bruno Senna
I feel sorry of Bruno...
Everyone expects him to be like Ayrton.
Did you know his real surname isn't even Senna?
It's Lalli
Haha really?
Saying that Ayrton's surname wasn't Senna.
Edit:
Or was it?
Oh those pesky Brazilians and their names.
No, I'm pretty sure his surname was da Silva.
I've confused myself now.
Whether or not Ayrton's surname was Senna is not really an issue.
He was a legend of note and there will be no other like him.
You are right though.
He probably was a Da Silva
Shame he left us so early...
Not that I remember much of him before he died, I was only three, but I have watched clips, studied him.
And my uncle always talks about him like a God.
He was hectic.
Wouldn't take any crap from anyone.
I loved his races against Prost.
Fine fine drivers the both of them.
Portugal '88 was a fine example of that.
Indeed. They drove like madmen
Today's drivers just don't have that anymore
Well... Schumacher did in Hungary.
But that wasn't skill.
Schumi is not that good.
Luck and cheating is what got him 7 championships.
Almost every F1 fan will tell you that...
Bar the Schumacher fans.
I still haven't found my new Coulthard. :(
Or Hakkinen
I liked Hakkinen, had some real Finnish skill.
My favorite driver.
And then Kimi
Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali says he does not expect the world title to be decided by the outcome of the Brazilian Grand Prix, and that he expects it to go down to the final race in Abu Dhabi.
Also...
Ferrari team chief Stefano Domenicali says Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso will start on level pegging next season, with neither driver given preference by the team.
