0. 1 Anderson to Mukund, OUT , a wicket first ball!
ENG 221 INDIA 7/1 ( 6.1 ov) India trail by 214 runs with 9 wkts remaining in the 1st innings
ENG 221 INDIA 14/1 (8 .3 ov) India trail by 207 runs with 9 wkts remaining in the 1st innings
Welcome to the 2nd inning in the 2nd day of the 2nd test between England vs India .Hope England bowlers will reduce India below 250.
Most important wicket would be Dravid.VVS can be a threat.Sachin as usual.Rest is just ODI specialist.England bowlers should have no problem getting through them.
I have no idea what's going on.
India 288 all out. So a lead of 67 it is. India went from 267-4 to 273-9
Broad getting an hat-trick
England 130-2 (Bell, 84. Pietersen, 20.)
I dont think Trott can bat injured, so its like 130-3.
Broad has said “ the hat-trick won’ t mean much if England don' t go on and win this Test match
..........
Bell continues to lead England' s fightback and is looking real good in the middle and set for a big one; Pietersen has been struck by an Ishant delivery under the ribs. But, the real action has been in the commentary box where Ravi Shastri and Nasser Hussain were involved in a slightly heated debate regarding the DRS. Hussain said he has earned the right to comment after playing 96 Tests and adds he is paid for expressing his opinions by Star Cricket. Shastri says he is of the opinion India has the right not to use the DRS if they don' t trust the technology and clarifies his remarks about jealousy around India being No. 1 were directed at the British press and not Hussain. It went on for a while with both making valid points and Harsha Bhogle trying to play peace maker.

INDIA 288 ENG 221 & 219/3 (55 .3 ov) England lead by 152 runs with 7 wkts
55.2 Sreesanth to Pietersen, OUT , Sreesanth is the man! Massive breakthrough, that partnership was looking matchwinning. Loose shot in the end. It was back in the channel but unlike the ball before Pietersen aimed a booming drive and could only edge through to Dhoni
Pietersen c Dhoni b Sreesanth 63 (120 b 7x 4 0x6 ) SR: 52. 5
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has been getting a fair bit of abuse through the day after his ‘Vaseline’ tweet about Laxman yesterday-Yahoo!
ENG 221 & 220/3 (56 .6 ov) England lead by 153 runs with 7 wkts
240/3 (61 .6 ov)
ENG 221 & 250/3 (65.0 ov
England lead by 183 runs with 7
wkts
India's best chance of chasing a gettable total seems to be
if they can see Bell's back in a
hurry, if at all
Bell scored
his century off only 129 balls
Cheating India, very unsporting. Bell thought it was a 4, India appealed, cheats.
Thats not cricket at all.
IR Bell 137 (178) ,4x22, 6x0,SR= 76.97:clap:
U are correct Paul,This is not the gentleman's sport that we know. This is not the first time Dhoni showed his unrespectful behaviour. In west Indis tour Umpaire Darrel Haire complained about Dhoni's aggressive behaviour towards on field umpaire.
BBC Test Match Special 's Michael Vaughan "I think the right decision has been made. If I put myself in the same position as Mahendra Singh Dhoni I would have done the same. Ian Bell went to Eoin Morgan and said four and Kumar on the boundary gave all the body language that it was four. And if over was called then it has to be the right decision."
Yeah fair play to Dhoni for withdrawing the appeal made the right decision for cricket.
287-3 lead by 220. I think a lead of 300+ will give us a good chance of winning this test.
England lead by 226 runs with 7 wkts
ENG 221 & 316/3 (76 .6 ov) England lead by 249 runs with 7 wkts Min overs remaining 24.0
IR Bell c Laxman b Yuvraj Singh 159 (206 )
End of over 80 MJ Prior 3( 7) Yuvraj Singh 8-0 -31-1 EJG Morgan 70( 86) SK Raina 7-0- 30-0
80.2 Kumar to Morgan, OUT , the new ball does the trick. Morgan is gone, edging another nifty little outswinger through to MSD. A fine innings, but he will be the first to admit India gifted him some of those runs with those part-timers on-ESPN
INDIA 288 ENG 221 & 335/5 (81 .3 ov) England lead by 268 runs with 5 wkts Min overs remaining 19.3
Trott out. 339-6.
50 for Prior.
408-6 Lead by 341
England 441-6. Lead by 374 runs.
Incredible day for us, starting day 3 on 24-1 and losing Strauss early on. Fantastic innings from Bell, good knocks from Pietersen, Morgan, and over 100 partnership from Prior and Bresnan at the end. 417 runs on day 3 :)
Obviously the talking point will be Bell getting out and then Dhoni withdrawing the appeal, in my opinion it was bad to appeal in the first place, its unsporting and not the way cricket is played. I thought it was desperate from India, fair play to Dhoni for withdrawing the appeal.
Kiss goodnight to that No.1 ranking India :D
Highest 4th innings chases, only ever been 4 over 400..

Now 450 lead coming out of the haze.Do you see it Paul?
Now the morning session should yield England at least 100 or more runs(If Eng tail hold on). That should bring them close to 500 lead. Then should they declare,India will have to bat almost 5 full sessions which will mean this is going to be a do or die game.Either India will make that and change the history,or they will demise on the way.A draw would be highly unlikely considering the Eng pace attack and vulnerable Indian middle order.
Yes, i should be more confident an listen to you
After the wicket of Bell, Morgan and Trott followed, we could of easily been bowled out quickly. But this England team bat all the way down. Prior is the best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment.
We have Broad and Swann to come yet both can bat, so should get the 100+ runs.
