Yes, Microsoft offered the Betas free for some time, they've removed them now but they're still being leaked all over the web. You can get a free product key that lasts until April 2010 for it from Microsoft's website, if you download it from torrents. They're offering a free Release Client very soon as well.

download.com is good for freebies, mainly trial programmes, but serial keys are easy enough to get hold of for the free programmes
