Well, when I finally find somone who's right for me, I discover her stepdad already hates me and her anyways.
Sad thing is, I can't do a thing to stop him making her life a misery.

Unfortunately you cannot change anyone. You might not be able to stop him but you might still be able to help her out. Just be there for her, it seems there is nothing you can do, but don't give up. There is always hope if you keep trying.

Yes you can.. stick by her mate, if your serious about her an vice versa, in the end her stepdad/parent hating you wont matter, hes probably just being protective.
