Surely you know that phones are different in every aspect, even if they are from the same brand. The Samsung Sunburst is completely different than the Samsung Star.
If some of you had get the solution to the problem, I would know it because I got a sunburst and have the same problem. I would be very thankful!
Steps
1. Connect phone to PC
2. Run Samsung PC Studio if not running
3. Open file manager (Click "Manage Files")
4. Copy .jad and .jar to "Other Files" folder on phone. (You can download these files from samsung.com/us/support/downloads )
5. Disconnect phone and go to "Other Files", run .jad file to install and run the application.
Possible problems
If a message "Unsupported file format" appears, then it means that installing applications from PC is blocked in your mobile. In that case the simplest solution is to install per WAP. There are also ways to bypass this limitation and unblock the mobile. Try to search Google for eg. "A697 install jar" (witnout quotation marks) or "Samsung SGH-A697 Unsupported file format"
If you install the application and you see a virtual keypad with arrows, which takes place on screen, you can edit the .jad file and add the line
MIDlet-Touch-Support: true
Then reinstall the application using this .jad file and the virtual keypad will disappear.
I definately notice a huge different between the star and the sunburst, but I do like both of them, they were good phones when I had them :)
